Cyprus

As legend has it Cyprus is called the Island of Love, this is the place where Aphrodite was said to have risen from the waves and where legend and myth are pillars of the landscape and atmosphere. This dazzling Mediterranean land casts an enigmatic spell on all those who visit. Steeped in natural beauty offering spectacular sandy beaches, Greek temples, ancient mosaics and medieval castles as well as the famous Troodos mountains, there really is something for everyone in Cyprus.

Cyprus has been divided into two parts, North and South Cyprus, since 1974. Greek Cypriots occupy the south part while the Turkish Cypriots occupy remaining one third of the northern part. A boundary known as the ‘Green Line’ which runs through Nicosia, the capital of both South and North Cyprus separates the two states.
Cyprus is a modern country that effortlessly marries European culture with ancient enchantment. Here you will discover a compact world of alluring beaches and fragrant mountain peaks, vineyards studded with olive trees and ancient ruins that stir the imagination, citrus groves and old stone villages where sweet wine flows as freely as conversations at the local café. A carefree place where a sense of timelessness is magnified by the kindness of the people.
